Defence Ministers � Parliamentary Secretary for Defence ? NSW Soldiers welcomed home from Solomon Islands
More than 100 soldiers from the NSW-based 5th Brigade were welcomed home today after a successful four-month peacekeeping operation with the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI). The Parliamentary Secretary for Defence, Senator David Feeney, said he was pleased that the contingent was able to strengthen peace and stability for the people of the Solomon Islands. The CTF's contribution included joint patrols with RAMSI's Participating Police Force and the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF).
