Further assistance for flood affected communities in Queensland | Prime Minister of Australia
Prime Minister Julia Gillard today announced that clean-up and recovery grants of up to $25,000 will be provided to communities in Queensland inundated by recent floods. The Prime Minister acknowledged that many flood affected regions have only partially recovered from the previous flood events of 2011 and 2010, and that prompt financial assistance is required to help communities get back on their feet. The Australian Government continues to work closely with the Queensland Government to deliver assistance to flood affected communities.
