Interview with Garry Bailey 102.5 ABC Burnie Drive | Ministers' Media Centre

GARRY BAILEY: If you're out and about this afternoon on the school run around Northern Tasmania, an important story that affects you, your school could be a Plus School. PETER GARRETT: What we want to do Garry is provide some funding support for state education systems and also for the non-government school system, so that they can introduce greater levels of autonomy into their schools, greater decision-making power for the school leader, like the principal and also for the school community, in how the schools are run. Federal Education Minister Peter Garrett joining us on Drive to explain the new initiative which is coming to Tasmania and it will mean up to 22 Tasmanian schools will become Plus Schools.
