Statement on the future of the National Tally Room - Australian Electoral Commission
The Electoral Commissioner Ed Killesteyn today announced the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) would not be operating a National Tally Room at the 2013 federal election. Mr Killesteyn said that the National Tally Room now played no role in the actual delivery of election results but essentially provided a visual backdrop for the media to conduct their election broadcasts. � Australian Electoral Commission 2013.
