Media release: Register, start work and get rewarded - Minister for Human Services

Senator the Hon Marise Payne Minister for Human Services. Minister for Human Services Senator the Hon Marise Payne said information about the new payment was sent last week to around 173,000 young jobseekers who have been receiving Newstart or Youth Allowance for at least 12 months. 'The Job Commitment Bonus will encourage long-term jobseekers aged 18 to 30 to enter the workforce by providing $2500 to those who get a job and stay off payments for 12 months and an extra $4000 if they remain off payments for a further 12 months,' Minister Payne said.
