Jobs created for 50 Indigenous people in the Queensland resource sector | Minister for Indigenous Affairs
The Queensland resource sector and associated supply chain industries will gain 50 new Indigenous workers thanks to a new Vocational Training and Employment Centre (VTEC). Minister for Indigenous Affairs, Nigel Scullion, said employment opportunities will be available across central and southern Queensland in a range of roles including drilling, trades assistant and catering. As a result, Indigenous people will have meaningful, sustainable work that will lead to stronger communities and a better future.
