Investor Update: Nestle opens medical nutrition facility in regional Australia - Austrade

Nestle Australia has opened a $17 million expansion of its factory in the town of Tongala, in regional Victoria. Transformed into a state-of-the-art medical nutrition facility for the company's health sciences business, the Tongala factory will become a manufacturing hub for the region and is expected to produce 7,000 tonnes of product annually by the end of 2013. This significant investment by Nestle Australia to extend its Tongala factory into a bigger production hub is a huge vote of confidence by the company in this region, said Paul Bruhn, Regional Business Head for Nestle Health Science in Asia, Oceania and Africa.
