Travelling overseas? Know the rules for packing prescription medication | Minister for Human Services

Australians heading overseas this holiday season are being advised to consider what medication they carry and what health care is available to them abroad. Minister for Human Services Senator Kim Carr said Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme medicine could only be taken overseas for personal use or for someone travelling with that person. Some Australians will need to take prescription medicine on holidays, so when packing your suitcase this Christmas, remember you will need a prescription or letter from your doctor to prove your prescription medication is for personal use.
