Department of Health & Ageing - More Australians Covered by Private Health Insurance

THE HON TANYA PLIBERSEK MP. More than 122,000 people have taken out private hospital cover in the six months since the introduction of income testing of the private health insurance rebate, Minister for Health Tanya Plibersek said today. Figures released today by the Private Health Insurance Administration Council found that 39,363 people took out private hospital insurance in the December 2012 quarter.
