Flood relief in Lockyer Valley and Somerset region | Minister for Human Services

Staff from the Department of Human Services are still hard at work in the Lockyer Valley and the Somerset Region helping people in areas severely affected by recent flooding and weather. Minister for Human Services Senator Kim Carr and Member for Blair Shayne Neumann were both in the Lockyer Valley and Somerset Region today on separate visits, seeing recovery efforts first-hand. 'The Laidley recovery centre at the Laidley Council Office has been operating for the last three weeks, and staff from the Department of Human Services are there offering social work support and helping locals claim their Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP).
