17 August 2012 - Border Protection Command intercepts vessels

Border Protection Command intercepted three suspected irregular entry vessels north-west of Christmas Island yesterday. The first vessel was intercepted by HMAS Maitland , operating under the control of Border Protection Command, north-west of Christmas Island yesterday afternoon. The third vessel was intercepted by HMAS Maitland , operating under the control of Border Protection Command, north-west of Christmas Island last evening.
