National conference to mark Landcare Week- The Hon. Joe Ludwig - Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry

Landcare volunteers and members are being encouraged to join together for the and biennial awards during Landcare Week 2012. The first week of September is set aside to celebrate the success of the grass-roots movement and Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Senator Joe Ludwig, said the conference, supported by the Australian Government, would be a highlight. 'The Australian Government is committed to Landcare and is running the conference because it recognises the importance of opportunities for networking, sharing success stories, learning from the experiences of others and developing skills for the continued success and growth of the Landcare movement,' Minister Ludwig said.
