Pages - 15 August 2012 Joint operation nets drugs with a street value of 77million
Three men have been arrested and 109kgs of pseudoephedrine seized after a multi-agency taskforce disrupted an international drug syndicate, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Justice Jason Clare said today. This pseudoephedrine could manufacture 77.5 kilograms of methamphetamine, commonly known as ice', which has street value of up to $77 million. The Joint Organised Crime Task Force (JOCTF) is made up of the Australian Federal Police, Customs and Border Protection Service and the Australian Crime Commission Victoria Police and was established to target organised crime syndicates in Victoria.
